I'm TERRIBLE at this!

As I suspected . . I am terrible at keeping this up. However, I'm not giving up, just acknowledging my weakness and hoping somehow I'll get better at it.
It's now the end of May . . and we haven't sold our house in Denver yet . . so we are still camped out, it seems as if we are becoming a permanent fixture in grandma and grandpa's basement. On the bright side . . the kids love having grandma and grandpa at their constant disposal and we have really enjoyed the time spent with them . . it's a sure way to get in touch with each other's lives for better and worse! I also never got to live much with Mark because of our age seperation so I've really liked getting to know him a little better and love to see the girls become a part of his busy life!
About a month ago Gregg and I got to take a much needed getaway trip to Hawaii by ourselves, courtesy of the great live in babysitters that 'the grandparents' have become. We went to Maui and stayed in a great condo . . I was SO excited at the thought of all those endless hours to selfishly devote to myself . . and hopefully manage to spare a few to dote on my husband who sadly has been forced to learn to share the limelight of my attention with the girls. Even the long airplane ride was a treat as we both appreciated being able to have our trays down and slowly enjoy the quiet peace of reading and leisurely snacking on the treats and beverages, giggling to ourselves as we heard other kids whining and parents struggling. The weather was perfect and the vacation was unbelievably enjoyable. The only real problem was Gregg was geared for high adventure and I couldn't manage to soak in enough lazy hours of peace on the beach . . but somehow we managed to make the most of our time and both came back satisfied, tanned, and ready to take on the 'little people' again. We did miss the girls . . but knowing they were well taken care of and thoroughly enjoying the constant attention of their grandparents . . we didn't lose any sleep over our time apart. They were as happy to see us as we were to see them . . after Keira stared us down for a good ten minutes, upon our return. I think it was her form of discipline and punishment hoping we understood that she wasn't happy we had abandoned her. She quickly recovered and we all were happy to be reunited!
There's not a whole lot more to report . . Gregg sold his car . . yet another sign that we have officially moved in to full time 'family' life. We bought a new, bigger vehicle so we can haul all of us and our junk around more efficiently. . . not gas efficiently . . but you do what you have to at this point in life! The girls are excitedly transitioning to summer . . happy to be regularly visiting the parks and loving the warm days that allow them to swim in the backyard. Maddie just completed her first round of swim lessons and is pretty proud of herself after a rough start. The last few lessons, she insisted she was bringing Gregg or I along so she could 'teach' us how to swim. That's all for now . . I have to get better at this!
